San Francisco with Karina!
Hello!
Today was my first official day in San Francisco and I could spend it with karina :D.
After eating a free muffin and drinking free coffee in the lobby ( i love this hotel) I went outside to meet karina. around 10.30 ish we went to Powell station, right behind my hotel, to get a 7 day public transport card. always useful.
We then went to the fisherman’s wharf (aka the place to be for tourists) where you have a nice view of the harbor, 347293829382 giftshops, restaurants and you can see alcatraz from there :)
We then walked to Fort Mason and took a bus (which aren’t reliable here haha) to the Golden Gate Bridge. as my taxi driver already told me.. San Fran is cold this week and there is a lot of FOG. FOG FOG FOG EVERYWHERE. so yeah. it won’t be warmer than 65 degrees here this week (aka 18-20 celcius) which is nice if you want to stroll around.. but the fog :( bwuh. my pictures kinda failed. OH WELL.
After waiting for the bus for 30 minutes ( xD) we went to Lombard street (the crooked, curvy street of San Fran) if you need to learn how to use the steering wheel of your car. go drive there!
Around 3 we were starving so we ate at fisherman’s wharf again (Victoria would love all the seafood there *sarcasm*) and we then went to the coil tower which is 63 meters high and on a hill so you have a great view of San Fran.
We took a bus back to Powell street and went into the mall/ shop thingy, we walked around for a bit (yes i bought nailpolish and some other thingies. I’m a shopaholic., sue me)
Around 6.45 ish we went to the Yerba Buenta gardens where they have a Martin Luther King memorial. it’s really quiet and peaceful there :).
Karina had to leave at 7.30 so we got back at the station around that and now i’m in my hotel again (after getting breakfast for tomorrow.. i’m leaving at 6.45 *EARLY*) and what am I doing? YES. planning Rana’s trip to Europe ;) SO visiting her in London and Amsterdam haha :p
Uploading pictures now and then i’ll be watching the last episode of Primeval season 5 :( BOO.
and waking up wicked early tomorrow :( not my favourite thing to do . BUT I’M GOING TO YOSEMITE :D so stoked!
